Flash Closeups on the D1 with the SB26DX
| I'm using an SB-26, which is in many repects a nicer unit than the SB-28DX. The drawback is that the D1 can't send it the distance information needed to regulate the amount of light put out during exposure. The best settings I've found so far to combat this problem is program mode (which usually selects 1/60 at f5), -1 EV and using the flash angled at -7° with the diffuser on and bounce card fully extended. The extra light reflected from the ceiling seems to help fill in some of the shadows, too. |
